My childcare policies all comply with the purpose and aims of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These give each child the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential and to help young children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.
The EYFS is given legal force through Order and Regulations made under the Childcare Act 2006.
These include many policies including health & safety, behaviour, food & drink, equal opportunities, other cultures, special needs, medication, nappy changing, accidents, visits and outings, etc.
My first duty of care is to your child, meaning I will do all I can whilst they are in my care to keep them safe.
Therefore I adhere to very concise and strict procedures regarding health and safety.
